Porto - Luis I Bridge

Description

There are a number of ways to cross the might Douro river, which flows 556 miles (895km) westwards across northern Spain and Portugal, before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. There are bridges galore joining the right and left banks, including a number by Gustave Eiffel, which have been adapted over the years to accommodate cars, trains, metro and pedestrian.
